Women's role in world war one.

Women’s struggle for equality with men has come a long way since the late 1800s and the 1950s-1970s. Women played a big role during world war one. when the U.S declared war on germany, many men enlisted because militants were needed. industries helped with the war by turning theyre business into a more, war concentrated industry, they would take their products and turn it into something that could be useful in battle. Different industries all over the U.S hired over 18 million new workers, and 6 million of them were women. Society always thought that women did not have the stamina or strength to be able to complete a mans job, but this was proven wrong since production in the united states industries has improved. Industries would not hesitate to hire another women, not only does women working in industries prove that women are just as equal as men are, but this would bring huge changes that are still in effect today, women demanded more equality later in the years, women questioned why they couldnt have equal work, and equal pay as men. and it would eventually lead to women suffrage.
